Inver/SE is the website of Sheffield-based geographer, Dr Jonathan Bridge. Jon mixes academic work at Sheffield Hallam University with advocacy for academic sanctuary through the Council for At-Risk Academics, and occasionally dabbles in photography, art, bread-making and writing.

Jon is an environmental geoscientist with particular interest in human-environment interactions and has research experience working with colleagues in Syria, Jordan, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, China and Iceland. His recent research focuses on landscape systems and catchment futures and he has been working with and observing the processes of the Sheffield Lakeland Partnership since 2019. He is currently thinking about future climate risks and reading Bruno Latour.
